Just as finances play a major role in any management decisions made within all sports organizations, finances play a role in the IIHA.
For each game you play at home, you will earn money off of ticket sales. The key here is to maximize overall revenue, thus you need to find the balance between cheap and expensive. All that nonsense you learned about parabolas and such in high school finally has relevance; well sort of.
Each team will have the same size arena, with the same number of seats in each 'level.' Levels 1-4 exist, with 1 being the most expensive, and 4 being the cheapest. On top of general seating are luxury boxes, which obviously are much more expensive.
Attendance at games will increase when your team is doing well, and will decrease when you're not. Other factors come into play surely, however these are the two keys. Strive to do well and your pocketbook shall follow suit.
The portal is kind enough to provide an estimate of expenses versus revenues, and this will serve as a good judgement of how well, or how poor, you are managing your money.
If your team slips into the red at any point, you could be looking at a little sit-down with Hansel where your future in the league shall be discussed. However if you keep your spending on players down, and your ticket sales up, you shall be fine.
End of season awards come with cash compensation attached.
Maximizing money has its rewards, as you can easily see if you refer to the 'Prospect Claims' section of the constitution.
At the beginning of the inaugural season, each team will have $5 000 000 in their pockets. Enjoy.
